About

DC Gallery & Studio is a female, artist-owned gallery, maker retail space & studio that features contemporary art in a wide variety of media by emerging and established local artists. We curate and host exhibitions, art workshops and events that highlight & connect local artists with the immediate community.

DC Gallery & Studio represents a diverse roster of established & emerging regional visual artists. Our investment in quality curation is reflective of our owner’s love of contemporary art that pushes traditional boundaries, challenges norms & asks important questions.

Danielle Cartier, our owner, director & curator, was born & raised in Northern California, but has lived, produced and taught visual art all over the world. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, she has been working in the art world for the past 15 years. Her largescale, mixed media paintings & murals can be found in numerous public & private collections throughout the United States. For a decade, she has worked as a muralist, art consultant
& university professor while also maintaining her own art studio practice. As a gallerist, Cartier sees the current creative landscape through the eyes of a full-time visual artist.

“I have shown at many galleries through the years. Every experience has differed, but my time with Danielle at DC Gallery & Studio was absolutely amazing. Danielle has all of the energy, determination and drive needed to be a successful gallery owner and curator. She goes above and beyond. She is a fabulous addition to the Millville art scene. I look forward to seeing how the gallery grows and was honored to show with her. ”
